Job description

Human Ingenuity is a growing nutraceutical manufacturing company headquartered in Southern California. Our clients include the most trusted brands in the health and wellness space and the most notable names in the longevity community. We are firmly committed to the growth and innovation of our clients.

About the Role:

The Supply Chain Manager will own and execute supply chain planning and scheduling functions across our dietary supplement manufacturing operations. This role will be focused on keeping production running smoothly, materials flowing efficiently, and inventory optimized across our facility.

This role is the operational backbone of our supply chain, translating demand signals, production goals, and inventory needs into a precise, day-to-day execution plan.

You will work closely with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Finance to ensure materials are available when needed and production schedules are accurate and achievable, all within our strict dietary supplement manufacturing compliance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Strategy
  • Serve as the primary owner of production planning and scheduling, translating commercial demand into executable shop-floor schedules.
  • Participate in cross-functional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align market demand with actual factory capacity.
  • Own short-term and shift-level production schedules to optimize machine runs, minimize changeover downtime, and reduce line idle time.
  • Procurement Support
  • Support supplier relationship management, including assisting with identification and vetting of domestic suppliers for raw materials and packaging components.
  • Assist with supply contract administration and purchase order management.
  • Contribute to sourcing strategies that mitigate supply risks and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Inventory Management
  • Oversee raw, WIP, and finished goods inventory accuracy.
  • Balance material availability against cash flow—keeping right amount of working capital to avoid stockouts without over-purchasing.
  • Oversee cycle count process to ensure rotational protocols to minimize waste, material expiration, and inventory write-off.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive supply chain experience within dietary supplements, food, pharmaceutical, or CPG manufacturing.
  • This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority is essential.
  • Proven track record in production planning, master scheduling, and inventory management in a regulated manufacturing environment. Experience with S&OP processes is a plus.
  • Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills to navigate global supply disruptions, lead-time volatility, and competing departmental priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Procurement or sourcing experience is a plus but not required.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work takes place in a manufacturing setting.
  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits package
  • Retirement savings plan with employer match
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Professional development and training opportunities

Compensation: $100,000 – $155,000, plus bonus opportunities. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
