Job summary

MidAtlantic Employers' Association is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to own purchasing, material planning, and supplier management in a full-time, on-site role based in Huntingdon Valley, PA. You will lead shipping/receiving and maintain supplier relations while ensuring material flow to production and engineering.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in manufacturing procurement, with ERP/MRP experience and strong Excel skills.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings well enough to request quotes and answer basic supplier questions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and order production and prototype material from ERP/MRP data, using purchase orders or the company card.
• Find new and secondary suppliers, send RFQs with drawings, and negotiate price, lead time, and terms.
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List, perform supplier approvals and audits, and track on-time delivery, price variance, and quality.
• Flow down customer and quality requirements to suppliers and manage counterfeit parts prevention and conflict minerals reporting.
• Supervise shipping and receiving, manage carrier and freight relationships, and cover when needed.
• Oversee stockroom organization, cycle counts, and the annual physical inventory.
• Own the processes for receiving customer equipment for calibration and sending equipment out for calibration.
• Manage recurring vendor accounts such as software subscriptions and facility services.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Huntingdon Valley,PA. Onsite work is required.

Our client designs and manufactures tilt and vacuum measurementsensors and instruments. They operate an ISO 17025 accreditedcalibration laboratory and are ISO 9001 certified and a women-ownedsmall business. They are a team of 50 people and have been in businessfor more than 90 years and work to foster an environment thatencourages creating and sharing knowledge, with a deep commitment totheir employees, customers, and community.

About the Role:

Our client is presently looking for a Supply Chain Manager to ownpurchasing, material planning, and supplier management, and to leadtheir shipping and receiving function. You'll use their ERP and MRPtools to decide independently what to order and when. You'll find andqualify suppliers for everything from electronic components andprecision machined parts to glass-to-metal feedthroughs. And you'llkeep material flowing to production and engineering.

What you’ll Do:

Experience and Skills:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, or materials management in amanufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings well enough to request quotesand answer basic supplier questions.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Supervisory experience.
• Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL, and freight carriers.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 or ISO 17025 environment.
• Export compliance knowledge (ITAR/EAR, EEI/AES, tariff classification).
• APICS CPIM or CSCP, or ISM CPSM certification.
