Job description

AWS Cloud Logistics (ACL) is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our North America and Latin America (NALA) Operations team, owning end-to-end process improvement, capacity planning, damage/claims, and the supply chain for Power and Cooling (PAC) equipment. PAC equipment is the backbone of every AWS data center build, and delays translate directly into day-for-day schedule slips on active construction sites. NALA PAC warehousing is projected to scale for several years, working alongside third-party (3P) carriers and logistics service providers (LSPs). In this role, you will drive LSP process standardization across warehousing and transportation, partner with technology teams on scalable systems design, and serve as the Amazon-side point of accountability for PAC site teams, construction partners, and Global Supply Managers. The ideal candidate has deep supply chain expertise, experience governing third-party logistics providers, and a track record of building operational mechanisms in high-growth, ambiguous environments where standardization - not improvisation - is the path to scale.

This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity and brings a bias for action. You will build processes and mechanisms in real time as PAC transitions to a multi-LSP model - the architectural decisions made in the next 90 days will shape PAC operations for years. You bring deep supply chain expertise across warehousing and transportation, experience managing third-party logistics providers, and a proven ability to build scalable operational processes in high-growth environments. You understand that standardization scales and improvisation does not, and you are energized by the opportunity to build the operational foundation for one of AWS's most critical infrastructure supply chains.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drive process standardization across PAC warehousing and transportation, ensuring handoffs, inbound compliance, and outbound execution meet AWS standards across all LSPs
  • Own the full damage and claims lifecycle - chain-of-custody through root-cause analysis to financial resolution
  • Develop capacity planning models aligning NALA warehouse storage, transportation lanes, and supplier onboarding with PAC's growth
  • Enforce consistent performance standards across multiple LSPs through standardized processes, unified reporting, and shared accountability
  • Define, enforce, and audit end-to-end transportation and warehousing KPIs in the PAC space
  • Partner with technology and data engineering teams on scalable systems design, reducing dependency on provider-specific reporting
  • Establish LSP onboarding with the PAC implementation team - embedding ASN, labeling, and compliance requirements pre-shipment
  • Serve as the single ACL point of contact for PAC site teams, construction partners, and Global Supply Managers - resolving escalations, disputes, and scheduling conflicts in real time
  • Own reporting cadences and lead business reviews on supply health, exception trends, and corrective actions for ACL leadership and PAC stakeholders
  • Write documents cross-functionally and present at document reviews
  • Mentor and coach team members; serve as an escalation point across the team
  • Drive team culture, ACL hiring (MGHD), organizational planning, and the COE review process
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of supply chain management, planning, strategic sourcing, commodity management or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Business Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or a related field
  • 3+ years of logistics operations experience
  • Experience in process design and documentation
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and root cause analysis
  • Experience developing and implementing KPI goals and strategies based on broader organization goals
  • Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  • Experience with capacity planning and demand forecasting in a high-growth environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA, or Master's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
  • Experience constructing electrical engineering systems including large scale power distribution/generation gear and mechanical engineering systems including cooling systems
  • Experience in logistics, or experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership
  • 3+ years of working with external suppliers experience
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience in construction or project management, or experience in a data center or other critical environment
  • Experience building scalable programs and repeatable scalable processes, levering various tools and methods to create scale and efficiency
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross-functional teams
  • Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments
