Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Supply Chain Manager I to lead a team responsible for managing the supply base and ensuring support for company programs in the Plano, Texas area.

The role emphasizes developing material plans, reducing risk, and aligning procurement activities with program goals. A Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience are required, with DoD/FAR/DFARS exposure highly valued.

• 7+ years of experience in operations or a related area.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Proficient negotiations skills.
• Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
• Prefer a candidate with both development and production experience skills.
• In-depth working knowledge of commodity , Category and Sourcing Management.
• Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technical requirements.
• Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts.
• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
• Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.
