Primary Responsibilities

The Manager of Supply Chain, Freight Conversion will lead a team focused on converting freight and managing margins, overseeing an enterprise-wide supply chain view around managing more collective freight. Responsibilities include strategic planning, ad hoc problem solving, and managing relationships with a diverse supplier community, a growing customer base, and internal departments. All actions should align with KeHE’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Essential Functions
  • Leads a team focused on freight conversions and margin management.
  • Collaborates with the Director team to influence department strategy and create yearly SMART goals.
  • Translates strategic goals into specific actions and team objectives.
  • Maximizes conversion and margin within the KeHE Inbound space.
  • Partners with suppliers and internal teams to troubleshoot, streamline processes, and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Creates an environment of trust, teamwork, continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
  • Drives strategic meetings, projects, and improvements with key vendors.
  • Provides data-driven insights and actionable feedback to key account teams.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of related supply chain experience desired.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and setting priorities.
Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude
  • Strong analytical skills with success in organizing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets.
  • Ability to influence and educate on supply chain and freight activities.
  • Skilled in negotiating with suppliers and partners.
  • Effective presenter to senior management and executives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship management skills.
  • Prioritization skills to impact customer satisfaction and KPIs.
  • Experience in food or code-sensitive environments preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI and transportation systems.
