Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA seeks a Manager Supply Chain 1 to lead a diverse GSC team on-site at the Palmdale Center of Excellence. The role offers multiple shift options, exposure to various programs, and a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, a strong background in supply chain, and the ability to manage budgets and cross-functional projects while maintaining high safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience in Management, Supply Chain, Program/Project Management, Manufacturing, Operations, or Business Management, OR a Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience in those areas, OR a High School Diploma/Equivalent with 8 years of experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (or higher) to apply/start.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time.
• Must be able to work any of the listed shifts to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees responsible for GSC functions across programs, from procurement to delivery.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with QA, Engineering, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement, and others.
• Meet direct budget targets, write/update work instructions, provide performance metrics, and recommend productivity/quality improvements.
• Lead a team to support Production goals and objectives with accurate tracking, receiving, and shipping focused on safety and cost efficiency.
• Lead the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance via KPIs.
• Train and guide employees in Northrop Grumman Values & Leader Characteristics.
