Job summary

Menasha Corporation's ORBIS division seeks a Production Capacity Planner to develop and maintain a plan that aligns inventory, production speed, and demand with supply chain goals. Qualifications

  • Analyze forecast data and pre-plan changes in volume to support demand.
  • Monitor plant schedules to optimize product placement.
  • Manage backlog to improve weekly availability and lead times.
  • Determine optimal inventory levels to balance service and cost.
  • Program management for key customers and programs; maintain market planning files.
  • Support Director, Supply Planning as needed.
  • Drive continuous process improvement in line with ORBIS Quality Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the production capacity plan that best supports our overall business by analyzing inventory levels, production speed, and product demand. Will work with vendors and plants to determine optimal inventory levels and provide recommendations for ways to improve operational efficiency. This will require strong analytical/quantitative/computer skills to interpret and solve problems in logistics and manufacturing to avoid customer impact and to meet operations costs, business service and inventory goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • 1. Analyze forecast data, including large opportunities documented in Sales Force, to pre-plan for changes in volume and pre-plan activities to support changes accordingly.
  • 2. Monitor plant schedules to ensure product placement is optimized.
  • 3. Monitor plant schedules and open backlog to optimize weekly availability, lead times, and shipping attainment.
  • 4. Determine optimal inventory levels to maximize service levels while minimizing costs.
  • 5. Program management for key customers and/or program activity as assigned, including assisting with the maintenance of tracking and planning files for markets such as dairy and beverage.
  • 6. Assist Director, Supply Planning as required.
  • 7. Support and drive continuous process improvement in support of the ORBIS Quality Policy.
  • 8. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification Level Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Work Experience Required 3-5 years in demand planning or production scheduling
  • Desired 5-7 years in demand planning or production scheduling
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 1. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • 2. Must be able to interact with a high degree of diplomacy.
  • 3. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • 4. Strong analytical ability with problem identification and resolution skills.
  • 5. Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment of internal & external resources.
  • 6. ERP (SAP preferred) & software implementation experience preferred.
  • 7. Ability to lead by example.
Travel Requirements

10-15% travel to support sites and projects.
