Job summary

Air Squared is seeking a Supply Chain Manager in Thornton, CO to lead Purchasing, Planning, and Supplier Quality with Engineering/Operations to improve delivery, cost, and supplier performance.

You will oversee demand forecasting, procurement, and S&OP, driving continuous improvement and KPI tracking across the supply chain. Strong leadership, negotiation, and Excel skills are essential.

• 5 years minimum experience in a Supply Chain Management position.

Responsibilities

• Lead Purchasing, Planning, and Supplier Quality teams and partner with Engineering and Operations to develop a Supply Chain strategy.
• Develop and implement plans for managing supply chain processes for production and operations.
• Explore alternative sourcing to reduce material costs with Engineering support.
• Own material costs and final review of estimating process.
• Monitor supplier performance and qualify new suppliers with cross‑functional input.
• Coordinate with Sales/Marketing to manage demand forecasting and procurement.
• Oversee S&OP to align resources with business needs and delivery goals.
• Communicate across all levels about activities impacting progress.
• Review engineering and manufacturing changes for material flow transitions.
• Implement and track KPIs to reduce costs and improve inventory turns.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and manage Supply and Quality Agreements.

We are searching for a competent and experienced Supply Chain Manager (SCM) to join our team.

The Supply Chain Manager is the primary point of contact with our suppliers and is responsible for the procurement of products and goods by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them and negotiating favorable payment terms, monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met.

In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Supply Chain, focusing on continuously improving on-time delivery, cost, and supplier quality. Compensation: $120,000 - $165,000 / year, based on experience and qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

• The SCM will manage the Purchasing, , Planning, and Supplier Quality teams and partner with Engineering, and Operations leaders to develop and maintain a Supply Chain Strategy that will contribute to the overall organization's efficiency, reliability, and profitability
• Develops and implements plans for managing supply chain processes for production and operations
• Spearhead alternative sourcing opportunities with the support of the Engineering team in order to reduce overall material costs
• Owns material costs and final review of estimating process
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments
• Works with Sales and Marketing teams to oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and procurement to satisfy resource requirements
• Oversees S&OP process in order to communicate with executives regarding business needs to secure resources needed to satisfy customer demands and ensure delivery and/or implementation
• Initiates continuous and effective communication with all levels, inside and outside of the organization on activities that may impact the jobs and their progress
• Acts as part of the Change Control team to review engineering changes and manufacturing changes to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
• Implement, refine, and track supply chain KPIs in order to reduce Total Supply Chain Costs, increase inventory turns, and improve profitability
• Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, while administering Supply and Quality Agreements and Contracts for high volumes or Strategic Suppliers
• Travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with ERP software (Global Shop or something similar).
• Experience with ODBC, PowerBI, or Tableau
• Experience in supplier management for a manufacturing company (Automotive is a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering or business administration or equivalent experience (required)
• APICS or ISM certification
• Experience in IATF
• Experience with purchasing and logistics in a complex value chain
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, shippers, and customers
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Thorough understanding of company products and logistics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years minimum experience in a Supply Chain Management position.
• 5 years experience in negotiating supplier contracts.
