Job summary

Mubea, a global automotive supplier, seeks a Production Planning/Supply Chain professional to align production schedules with quality goals and manage customer relationships. You will ensure on-time delivery, accurate releases, and effective coordination across manufacturing and distribution teams.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, developing capacity plans, and coordinating with suppliers and sales for new product launches while maintaining ERP accuracy and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the logistics/supply chain/production scheduling field; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in production planning.
• Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Knowledge of SAP and Internet software and Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word Processing software.
• Must have a basic knowledge or training of 5's and Lean Manufacturing.
• Must understand steel processing manufacturing processes used in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.

• Collaborates with SAP Coordinator to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepares reports for daily/weekly/monthly reviews.

Ensures availability of production schedules in line with production, supply chain and quality goals, manages relationships with customers and ensures release accuracy as well as shipping and delivery accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Trains and mentors’ employees, including reinforcement of processes, policies and ensures proper compliance.
• Creates supply chain management strategies that increases efficiencies ensuring safety measures, internal and external targets are met. This includes but is not limited to a proactive approach for capacity planning, quality of product, inventory control, plant efficiencies and on time delivery including the scheduling of rework.
• Must be able to understand and communicate each step in the production, manufacturing and manage the distribution process.
• Manages relationships with customers, release accuracy, shipping, and delivery schedules.
• Handles communications and negotiations with suppliers.
• Works closely with sales and development teams to support new product launches.
• Ensures reporting and booking accuracy within ERP system through review of shop orders and collaboration with production teams to understand and resolve material consumption / booking issues.
• Confers with SAP Coordinator and Inventory Clerk to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepares reports to support management with documentation for daily/weekly/monthly reviews.
