Supply Chain Management & Operations Jr. Associate Role

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Associate - Supply Chain & Operations to join our summer camp team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong interest in Supply Chain Management and Operations who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The Junior Associate will play a key role in managing camp inventory, coordinating transportation and storage of materials, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across multiple camp sites and storage centers.

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field and has a strong ability to manage logistics, maintain organized records, and communicate effectively with staff and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the inventory and transportation of materials between the Homewood-Flossmoor (HF) and Whitney (WY) sites and three storage centers located in Chicago Heights, Chicago, and Mokena.
  • Manage the loading, unloading, and organization of supplies stored in 27-gallon storage bins with smaller bins for school supplies and sports equipment.
  • Maintain and update a detailed Google Sheet inventory management system with separate tabs for each storage center and site, tracking:
    • School supplies, sports equipment, t-shirts, nursing equipment, and additional materials
    • Item quantities, status (in progress, packed, waiting to start), and storage bin details (letter for large bin, number for smaller bin)
  • Conduct daily inventory checks at both camp sites (classroom and sports locker) to ensure all materials are accounted for and properly stored.
  • Monitor and manage the check-out system for supplies, equipment, and technology (e.g., computers, iPads, walkie-talkies) by logging each item and tracking its location and user.
  • Manage the labeling of all items, including assigning numbers to computers, iPads, and walkie-talkies to track usage and location.
  • Respond to staff supply and equipment requests by processing Google Form submissions and ensuring delivery within five business days.
  • Coordinate the repackaging and transportation of materials back to storage centers at the end of the camp season.
  • Work closely with junior staff the week before camp starts to assist with moving items, distributing t-shirts, and supporting staff and parent .
  • Serve as one of the first points of contact for staff regarding inventory needs and operational issues.
  • Ensure all supplies are consistently replenished throughout the camp season and anticipate future ordering needs.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and logistical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and other inventory management tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff and leadership.
  • Ability to lift and transport storage bins and supplies as needed.

Professional demeanor and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.High level of reliability and accountability, especially regarding inventory and supply chain management.
