Job summary

Panasonic Energy Sales Company of America (PECSA) is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Management Intern to support the Demand Inventory Planning team. You will gain hands-on experience with customer and vendor POs, SAP, Excel, and logistics coordination.

You will work on order processing, scheduling with global factories, and month-end close activities while supporting billing and QA issues. This role may require in-office visits to The Colony, TX.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Communications, or related field.
• Strong interest in supply chain management, customer service and global business management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer and vendor purchase orders in SAP within 24-48 hours.
• Coordinate shipping schedules with international vendors and reschedule shipments as needed.
• Submit monthly sales estimations and monitor weekly sales data for forecasting accuracy.
• Serve as primary contact for customer accounts and resolve issues across shipping, transportation, and QA.

Responsibilities

Panasonic Energy Sales Company of America (PECSA) is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Supply Chain Management Intern to support the Demand Inventory Planning team. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in supply chain operations, global business, and customer service.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience managing assigned customer accounts using SAP, Microsoft Outlook, and advanced Excel functions. Key responsibilities include processing customer and vendor purchase orders, coordinating schedules with global factories, resolving logistics and quality assurance (QA) issues, managing billing based on Incoterms, and supporting month-end closing processes to contribute to overall company sales.

Purchase order management

Check customer demand data weekly and process orders based on customer Purchase Orders (POs) within 24-48 hours. Process credits, debits, tooling orders, Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), and Free of Charge (FOC) items in SAP in a timely manner.

Supply Planning & Logistics Coordination

Plan shipping schedules with international vendors (including Monterrey, Mexico and Japan/China) based on customer requests. Dynamically reschedule shipments if customer demand shifts. Monitor shipments to ensure they stay on schedule and provide shipping documents to customers promptly.

Monthly sales plan and closing

Submit current-month sales estimations at the beginning of each month. Monitor actual weekly sales data to ensure monthly forecasting accuracy. Proactively report potential risks and upside opportunities, track title transfers based on Incoterms, and successfully complete month-end closing activities.

Customer support

Serve as a primary point of contact for customer accounts. Communicate across internal departments to quickly resolve issues occurring in shipping, transportation, customer goods receiving, and Quality Assurance (QA).

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Communications, or related field. Strong interest in Supply chain management, customer service and global business management. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP experience is a plus but not required.

Hourly Range: $17-$38

The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
