Job summary

Prime Controls, a Dallas-based automation contractor, invites you to join our Summer Internship in supply chain, procurement, and logistics to keep projects moving.

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will support PO creation, BOM data, vendor communications, and inventory flow across Prime Controls locations during Summer 2027 for 8–10 weeks, with mentorship and hands-on project work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills and data fluency.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and willingness to learn in office and warehouse settings.
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the summer program.

Responsibilities

• Support purchase order creation, tracking, and expediting with vendors.
• Help maintain BOMs, item data, and procurement records.
• Assist with vendor quote requests, price comparisons, and lead-time follow-up.
• Support receiving, inventory counts, and material staging for pre-fabrication and field delivery.
• Help reconcile packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Contribute to reporting and analysis on spend, lead times, or supplier performance.

Overview

The Role

Get an inside look at the materials and procurement engine that keeps our projects and panel shop running. As a Supply Chain Intern, you’ll support sourcing, purchasing, and logistics activities - helping ensure the right equipment and materials reach the right project at the right time.

• This is a full-time summer internship running approximately 8-10 weeks during Summer 2027, based at various Prime Controls locations.
• Interns work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful, real-world projects and receive mentorship throughout the program.
