Job summary

Amrize in Chicago is offering a 10‑week Summer 2027 Supply Chain Internship for students who want hands‑on experience in data analysis, supplier relationships, and demand planning within the building materials industry.

The internship is based in Chicago, IL, begins June 1, 2027, and runs Monday–Friday with a 40‑hour work week. This paid opportunity includes mentorship and exposure to real-world supply chain projects.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Supply Chain Management, Finance, International Business or similar field.
• Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
• A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and support decision‑making processes.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Help maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
• Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
• Demand Planning: Assist in developing demand forecasts and production plans to align supply chain activities with business needs and customer requirements.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analyses for different supply chain activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Safety Protocols: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with Amrize standards.
• Skill Application: Utilize a range of skills and knowledge in day‑to‑day operations, working collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
• Executive Presentation: At the end of your internship, you'll present your learnings and contributions to our executive leadership team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will gain valuable, hands‑on experience and work closely with our team of experienced professionals. Key responsibilities include:

SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT

• Work Schedule: This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40‑hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8‑hour shift each day.
• Work Environment: You will be working in an office environment.
• Transportation: You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the worksite.
• Travel Requirements: You may need to travel for site tours, shadowing experiences, or intern events throughout the duration of your internship.
