Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a supply chain intern to help develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities. The role targets lower total cost, reduced inventory, and improved on-time delivery while aligning with quality metrics and supplier performance goals.

You will support supplier qualification, bidding, and contract activities, collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Self-starter with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, fact-based decisions.
• Working knowledge of work processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the execution of supply chain strategy for assigned commodities to reduce cost and improve supplier performance.
• Lead supplier bidding, cost analyses, and contract award activities.
• Support quality initiatives and compliance with ISO 9001-2015 and related standards; assist new product introductions and supplier development.
