Job summary

iA (Innovation Associates) is offering a Materials/Supply Chain Intern position as part of its 10-week summer internship program. You will work with professionals across supply chain, materials, purchasing, operations, engineering, and manufacturing to learn how to keep materials flowing from suppliers to customers.

This internship covers purchasing, inventory management, ERP/MRP systems, data analysis, and continuous improvement, with exposure to real projects that impact efficiency and costs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Interest in how materials, purchasing, suppliers, inventory, manufacturing, and logistics work together to support a business.
• Organized, detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet commitments.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day materials management by monitoring material requirements, inventory levels, open purchase orders, and production needs.
• Assist with purchasing activities by creating, reviewing, and tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely orders.
• Monitor supplier performance and track lead times, delivery dates, shortages, and backorders that impact production.
