Job summary

Ameren is seeking a summer intern to gain hands-on experience in our Supply Chain team. You will assist in sourcing, transformation initiatives, and category management while developing should-cost models and market intelligence.

You will work with a mentor, supporting data gathering for demand planning and process improvements, and you will help advance inventory and material processes during the May–Aug 2027 internship in St. Louis with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of analytical and statistical approaches to problem solving and financial accounting experience.
• Good understanding of Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in the supply chain area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing processes, transformation initiatives, category management and other supply chain activities.
• Assist in developing should-cost financial and economic models.
• Gather data for demand planning and process improvements.
• Assist in inventory/material processes and related activities.
• Prepare and present updates on assigned tasks to executives at summer end.
