Job summary

Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is seeking a Supply Chain Intern at the Orchard Park, NY facility. You will support supplier performance, cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and process optimization within an aerospace supply chain environment, developing skills in strategic sourcing, cost modeling, and supplier management.

• Relocation is not provided for this role. Must reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY.

Responsibilities

• Cost Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain cost-up and cost-out models to evaluate supplier pricing changes, commodity impacts, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Supplier Performance & QBR Enhancement: Participate in Supplier QBRs and assist in enhancing supplier performance management processes.
• Supplier Resiliency & Risk Management: Support initiatives focused on strengthening supply chain resiliency through supplier risk assessments, continuity planning, and mitigation strategies.
• Long-Term Agreement (LTA) Evaluation: Conduct supplier assessments to support the development of strategic Long-Term Agreements.
• Working Capital & Payment Term Optimization: Evaluate payment term strategies and working capital improvement opportunities.
• Bid & Proposal (B&P) Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement efforts within the Bid & Proposal process.
• Procurement Operations & Aerospace Supply Chain Fundamentals: Gain exposure to end-to-end procurement processes within an aerospace manufacturing environment.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.77 - $26.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Intern. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and will support key initiatives focused on supplier performance, cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and process optimization within a complex aerospace supply chain environment. You will develop skills in strategic sourcing, supply chain analytics, supplier relationship management, cost modeling and financial analysis, supply chain risk management, working capital optimization, and aerospace procurement processes. You will develop executive-level communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Job Responsibilities

Cost Modeling & Analysis

• Develop and maintain cost-up and cost-out models to evaluate supplier pricing changes, commodity impacts, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Support data-driven sourcing decisions through cost analysis and benchmarking.

Supplier Performance & QBR Enhancement

• Participate in Supplier Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and assist in enhancing supplier performance management processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve review effectiveness, KPI reporting, and supplier collaboration.

Supplier Resiliency & Risk Management

• Support initiatives focused on strengthening supply chain resiliency through supplier risk assessments, continuity planning, and mitigation strategies.
• Analyze supplier dependencies and identify opportunities to improve supply security.

Long-Term Agreement (LTA) Evaluation

• Conduct supplier assessments to support the development of strategic Long-Term Agreements.
• Analyze supplier capabilities, performance, market position, and commercial considerations to support sourcing recommendations.

Working Capital & Payment Term Optimization

• Evaluate payment term strategies and working capital improvement opportunities.
• Assess financial impacts and support initiatives that balance supplier relationships with cash flow objectives.

Bid & Proposal (B&P) Process Improvement

• Support continuous improvement efforts within the Bid & Proposal process.
• Evaluate parking lot strategies, sourcing approaches, and process efficiencies that improve competitiveness and execution.

Procurement Operations & Aerospace Supply Chain Fundamentals

• Gain exposure to end-to-end procurement processes within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Develop an understanding of the transactional and strategic functions of Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Supplier Management.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Completed Junior or Senior year in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, at the start of the internship.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of ERP Systems, Oracle a plus
