Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to assist the purchasing team by developing processes that create efficiencies and by conducting data analysis. The role supports audit preparation and LPAs while helping update work instructions and deliver project updates to leadership.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain, with strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn new tools and systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• Strong self-learning ability and willingness to explore new tools, systems, and processes.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts, data cleaning).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented.
• Preferred: Experience with AI Tools.
• Preferred: Familiarity with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Purchasing team processes to reduce time-consuming activities.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, verify solutions, and support decision-making.
• Support internal/external audit prep and LPAs.

Job Purpose

The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

The Supply Chain Intern will be a part of the purchasing team, developing processes to create efficiencies, analyzing data, and supporting with audit prep work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support processes within the Purchasing team to reduce time consuming activities
• Conducting data analysis to identify trends, verify solutions, and support decision-making
• Supporting internal/external audit prep and layered process audits (LPAs)
• Creating or updating work instructions
• Preparing and presenting project updates and final results to the team and leadership

What we are looking for

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field
• Strong self-learning ability and willingness to explore new tools, systems, and processes
• Intermediate Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts, data cleaning)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
