Job summary

Adient seeks a Summer Intern to join its Plymouth, MI team for a 40-hour-per-week, full-time internship from May 3, 2027 to August 12, 2027. The role focuses on supporting North American manufacturing supply chains through analytical tasks, data management, and cross-functional collaboration with purchasing and planning teams.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 4-year BS program in Supply Chain, Business, Management or Finance, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a willingness to gain hands-on

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a 4-year BS in Supply Chain, Business, Management or Finance.
• Available to work up to 40 hours per week.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Prior internship or co-op in automotive-related position is a plus.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication, with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international supply base supporting North American Manufacturing.
• Manage Supplier Delivery Performance.
• Support Master Data Management adherence activities.
• Attend Demand and Supply Plan reviews.
• Support capacity studies.
• Report on Supply Plan KPIs related to Supplier Management.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, SCE Team, Planning Team and Operations to maintain raw material supply.
• Support standardization across region.
• Perform analysis as required.
• Gain hands-on experience in a central planning team.

Summer Interns will work onsite 40 hours per week (full-time), with a targeted start date of May 3, 2027 through August 12, 2027.

The Following Experience Is Considered Essential

• Manage domestic and international supply base supporting North American Manufacturing
• Manage Supplier Delivery Performance
• Support Master Data Management (MDM) adherence activities
• Attend Demand and Supply Plan reviews
• Support Capacity studies
• Report out on Supply Plan KPI’s related to Supplier Management
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain Execution Team, Supply Chain Planning Team and Operations on maintaining supply of raw material
• Support standardization across region
• Perform analysis as required
• Gain hands on experience in a central planning team.

Other Position Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and working towards a 4 year B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management or Finance
• Available to work up to 40 hours per week
• Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in automotive related position an added plus
• Solid analytical skills and work effectively with customers, suppliers, and the development team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail, organization skills and follow up
• Proficient in MS Office

Knowledge

• Ability to working within high-performing teams in highly collaborative environments.
• Building relationships with key internal and external customers, based on trust and confidence.
• Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Translating business goals and metrics into business process outcomes and related business cases for specific projects
