Job summary

Yusen Logistics Americas Inc. is seeking a Logistics Intern in Jacksonville, FL to support operational execution and management of transportation for customers.

The role is hybrid onsite and supports multiple teams, including Logistics Operations, Account Management, Carrier Management, and Reporting. The candidate is an active degree-seeking student in Transportation & Logistics or related fields, with 12–24 months to graduation, and up to 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Active degree-seeking student enrolled in Transportation & Logistics or Supply Chain Management, within 12–24 months of graduation preferred.
• Maximum 30 hours per week; hours flexible.

Responsibilities

• Track shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Proactively manage delays and exceptions.
• Review loads for customer invoicing and complete loads.
• Update customer orders/loads via phone, email, or portals.
• Run system reports and work with Excel.
• Participate in Kaizen projects.
• Gain knowledge of transportation planning and routing processes.
• Understand the US/CA/MX carrier base landscape.

Overview

Position Summary:

The Logistics Intern is responsible for supporting the operational execution and management of transportation for Yusen's Supply Chain Solutions customers. The team this role will support includes Logistics Operations, Account Management, Carrier Management, and Reporting.

This position will require to be hybrid onsite based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Track shipments via phone, email, websites to ensure on time pick up and delivery
• Proactively manage delays and exceptions and elevate as needed
• Timely and accurate review loads for customer invoicing requiments and complete loads
• Update customer orders/loads via phone, email or other media such as on-line portals
• Run system reports and work with excel
• Participate in Kaizen projects
• Gain knowledge of transporation planning and routing processes
• Understand the US/CA/MX carrier base landscape
• Additional duties as assigned by the management team

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Active degree-seeking students who are enrolled in a relevant degree program (Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc.) and within 12-24 months of graduation preferred.

Maximum 30 hours per week.

Hours flexible.
