Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies in Eden Prairie, Minnesota seeks a Supply Chain Intern to support procurement, inventory management and related projects. You will create purchase orders, monitor stock, analyze delivery performance, and assist in cross-functional process improvements under supervision.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate students in supply chain or business, with strong Excel skills, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders for selected suppliers and non-conforming materials.
• Manage on-time delivery and stock levels; monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure supplier NDAs are communicated and updated.
• Review inventory levels and advise on potential stockouts.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects within the supply chain.
• Evaluate end-of-life and scrap materials for lifecycle management.
• Analyze inventory for raw, WIP, and finished goods; support SIOP efforts.
• Perform root-cause analysis and build relationships with stakeholders.

Position Summary

This Supply Chain Intern will perform various functions in support of Supply Chain objectives. These are typically a combination of daily and project assignments, including strategic project activities such as extracting data and analyzing/summarizing as part of a large project. The selected individual will gain exposure to all functions at Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) with the opportunity to learn how all functions interact and depend on each other for the success of the organization. At the end of the intern/co‑op period, the selected individual will be expected to make a short presentation on the knowledge and skills learned as well as the impact of their work on BMT.

Procurement and Inventory Management

• Create purchase orders for selected suppliers and non-conforming materials
• Manage OTD of material from suppliers
• Ensure compliance of supplier NDAs by communicating with suppliers and updating our existing/new NDAs
• Review supply levels and communicate issues and advice on potential stockouts
• Aid in continuous improvement projects for the wider supply chain and operations business
• Evaluate end-of-life and scrap materials and assist in their lifecycle management
• Analysis and Planning Review and analyze inventory levels for raw, WIP, and finished goods
• Analyze on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, and build plan attainment
• Assist with global SIOP integration efforts
• Perform root‑cause analysis
• Relationship development Cultivate relationships with internal and external associates with direction from management to resolve open issues and identify and drive continuous improvement for the supply chain organization.

Training to be Provided

Students will be exposed to working with various operations and product support departments within BMT. They will learn key requirements which need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Training may cover relevant aspects of medical device development procedures, along with more specific aspects related to BMT products. Additionally, our interns and co‑ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in‑person with BMT professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Third- or fourth-year undergraduate student with an intention of majoring in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or similar discipline
• Ability to research data using internet/online sources
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• High level of professionalism
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships across all levels both within and outside of the organization
• Demonstrated mathematical aptitude
• Ability to work both autonomously with limited supervision and as part of a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and maintain high levels of communication and feedback with peers, management and various stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work

Preferred

• Previous experience working in an office environment
• Previous experience working with external organizations such as suppliers
• Aptitude with Microsoft Power BI
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledgeable in Supply Chain requirements of ISO 13485
• Contract preparation and negotiation experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of quality policy/system expectations.

Other

The position requires relationship building with both internal and external process stakeholders and indirectly managed resources. The individual in this position must be resourceful and committed to protecting the company’s interests by balancing both short-term and long-term requirements.

Mental demands – work is detail oriented, often with multiple priorities. The environment is deadline sensitive and may be exposed to high-pressure situations. Limited travel may be required.

Term/Hours

Hours: 40 hours per week in summer, 15‑20 hours per week during school year

Compensation & Total Rewards

Estimated Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00/hour
