Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies is seeking a Product Engineering Co-op in Eden Prairie, MN for Spring/Summer/Fall 2027. You will report to the Product Support Engineer and work on medical devices used by interventional cardiologists, developing service instructions, building test devices, and analyzing repair data.

Expect 40 hours/week with a 2–3 semester rotation and potential to contribute to training videos and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Engineering student enrolled in an engineering program (biomedical, mechanical, electrical or computer) through sophomore/junior year.
  • Moderate to high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop service instructions and procedures for medical devices.
  • Build internal test devices for product support and testing.
  • Analyze product repair information and errors.
  • Participate in brainstorming and problem‑solving sessions with the Product Support Team.

We are currently seeking intern/co‑op candidates to learn with us as they engage in a variety of hands‑on projects alongside our high‑performing and authentic Operations team.

Position Summary

As a Product Engineering Co‑op, you will report directly to the Product Support Engineer and work with the Product Support Team on medical devices used by interventional cardiologists to: develop service instructions and procedures, build internal test devices, analyze product repair information, and group brainstorming/problem‑solving sessions. Projects may make use of skills including using state‑of‑the‑art test equipment, researching scientific and clinical literature, executing testing, preparing reports, technical writing projects including the development of service instructions, helping to make training videos, and other opportunities to support the development of new products from a service standpoint.

Training to be Provided

Students will be exposed to working with various operations and product support departments within Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT). They will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Training may cover relevant aspects of medical device development procedures, along with more specific aspects related to BMT products. Additionally, our co‑ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in‑person with BMT professionals.

  • Engineering student enrolled in Engineering Program focused on biomedical, mechanical, electrical or computer engineering through sophomore and junior year coursework.
  • Moderate to high level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Job Location

Eden Prairie, Minnesota (no relocation or housing assistance available)

Term/Hours

Spring/Summer/Fall of 2027 start, 2-3 semester rotation, can be consecutive or non‑consecutive semesters. Jan/May start dates are preferred, but other start dates will be considered. Hours: 40 hours per week

Compensation & Total Rewards

Estimated Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00/hour *Estimated Starting Pay Range is reflective of the range Bracco Medical Technologies reasonably expects to pay for the position. The range provided is based on compensation and market data specific to the position.
