Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace seeks a Supply Chain Development Project Manager in Phoenix to drive supplier performance improvements, lead assessments, and manage cross-functional initiatives. You will collaborate with suppliers to enhance delivery, quality, and lead times while supporting Gulfstream’s production schedules.

The role requires deep Lean/Six Sigma expertise, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 75% to ensure regional supplier readiness and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Six (6) years of operational and/or supply chain experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading projects and driving measurable business results.
• Ability to analyze complex manufacturing and supply chain challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Gulfstream contact for major supplier(s) in the Phoenix area.
• Lead supplier assessments to evaluate production readiness, capacity, and operational performance.
• Identify improvement opportunities and drive action plans through completion.
• Partner with suppliers to improve delivery performance, quality, lead times, and overall efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Analyze supplier operations, production planning, materials management, capacity planning, and workflow processes.
• Support supplier transition plans while minimizing impact to Gulfstream production schedules.
• Facilitate daily operational meetings, recovery plans, and milestone reviews with suppliers and internal teams.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and Gulfstream stakeholders to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics, capacity plans, training plans, and project plans.
• Identify root causes of operational challenges and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Coach and mentor suppliers and team members in problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Support the most critical supplier and supply chain challenges across the business.
