Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee production planning, S&OP, inventory strategy, and cross-site performance in a hybrid Minneapolis/MN setting.

Lead teams across Operations, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and Sales; drive Lean and continuous improvement, and partner to optimize capacity, cost, and service.

This permanent role offers a $140k-$160k salary, bonus potential, and a flexible hybrid schedule with 1 day remote and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in: Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, S&OP, Manufacturing Operations
• APICS/CPIM/CSCP Certification
• SAP experience
• Multi-site manufacturing experience
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Experience leading inventory reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning and scheduling across multiple locations
• Drive the monthly S&OP process and align production with demand
• Balance inventory, capacity, labor, and material availability
• Identify and resolve supply chain constraints before they impact customers
• Develop inventory strategies that improve service while reducing excess inventory
• Partner with Procurement and Operations to ensure material availability
• Monitor key supply chain metrics and implement improvements
• Drive inventory optimization and cost-saving initiatives
• Lead and develop production planning, inventory, and logistics teams
• Build strong partnerships across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Sales
• Champion Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Use data and analytics to identify opportunities and make recommendations to leadership

What You're Responsible For

Production Planning & S&OP

• Lead production planning and scheduling across multiple manufacturing locations

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field

5+ years of experience in:

• Supply Chain Management
• Production Planning
• S&OP
• Manufacturing Operations

APICS/CPIM/CSCP Certification

SAP experience

Multi-site manufacturing experience

Lean Manufacturing experience

Experience leading inventory reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
