Job summary

PepsiCo's Austin location seeks a Supply Chain Engineer to lead SAP S/4HANA deployments in Maintenance and to build Power BI dashboards for KPI tracking and decision support. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across Production and Maintenance, with focus on data-driven improvements to reduce downtime and improve throughput.

The candidate will develop SOPs for production equipment, comply with Safe Quality Food and EH&S standards, and apply Lean Six Sigma to optimize processes

Qualifications

• Two years in manufacturing in food/beverage industry with BI tools and ERP experience.

Overview

Job Title: Supply Chain Engineer

Employer: Frito-Lay, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SAP S/4HANA deployment projects within the Maintenance Department, working with cross-functional teams with SAP programming with an emphasis on inventory and purchasing.
• Develop Power BI dashboard using raw data to support Maintenance and Production departments decisions and monitor performance indicators (KPIs), based on data analysis and reporting using VBA automation and programming to improve efficiency and data accuracy needed in PepsiCo Inc.
• Optimize production and maintenance protocols for new products by applying PepsiCo Inc. technical knowledge manufacturing operations to minimize downtime and maximize output.
• Create, develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures for all production machines using hands‑on understanding of industrial machinery.
• Ensure compliance with ownership of Safe Quality Food audit, Environmental Health and Safety Standards and maintain Critical Control Point test to ensure product quality.
• Develop mechanic’s standards capability by using technical knowledge, providing task prioritization, discussions, career development action plans ensuring project management compliance.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,030 - $90,000/year.

• Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field and two (2) years of experience in Manufacturing in food/beverage industry.
• Must have two (2) years of experience with the following:
  • Using Business Intelligence tools to provide recommendations on KPIs and provide solutions to Production,Maintenance and Quality departments (Tableau, Power BI, and Data Studio).
  • Inventory Management, Schedule Planning, and Financial Analysis in ERP Systems and/or VBA to ensure records are maintained
  • Leading cross-functional collaboration and project management for pricing, workforce, and capital initiatives, driving profitability through strategic resource allocation
  • Applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to diagnose systemic issues, validate corrective actions through data-driven testing, and establish standardized documentation to maintain regulatory compliance across multiple business functions.
• Must have one (1) year of experience with the following:
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining standardized operational parameters using Minitab and VBA to optimize equipment performance and process consistency
  • Designing and implementing framework systems such as work order and material management systems, leveraging operational tools to enhance workflow performance and minimize waste across processes.
