Overview

EDI Sr. Specialist – Supply Chain Catalyst Brands Plano, Texas (Remote)

The EDI Senior Specialist will ensure seamless electronic data interchange (EDI) between our organization and trading partners, supporting operational efficiency, compliance, and data integrity across the supply chain. The EDI Senior Specialist will work closely with the EDI Manager for continuous integration and provide critical support in managing electronic data interchange operations and trading partner communications.

Responsibilities
  • Initiating and monitoring the testing process to new or reinstated suppliers. This involves ensuring connectivity to the VAN is established and required transactions formats are tested successfully.
  • Tracking the progress of all onboarding suppliers in a Tracking Spreadsheet.
  • Monitoring the EDI common mailbox for onboarding questions and issues in EDI on a daily basis.
  • Reporting system or processing issues to the appropriate teams and tracking the resolution of these issues.
  • Documenting process for new tasks and modified procedures.
  • Identify and evaluate EDI errors, working with IT to remediate.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or 5+ years of hands-on experience in EDI and supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards and protocols (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, AS2, FTP/SFTP).
  • Experience with EDI platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling, SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, Cleo).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Supply Chain Experience a plus
