Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Director for an on-site role near Atlanta, GA. The role leads planning, materials, inventory control, and warehouse operations in a large-scale food manufacturing setting.

You will drive demand planning, S&OP alignment, and material availability, while partnering with Production, Procurement, Sales, Quality and Operations to optimize service and working capital.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Translate demand and S&OP inputs into an executable site supply plan.
  • Lead production planning and scheduling to align capacity, materials and customer requirements.
  • Identify supply, capacity and material constraints and develop solutions.
  • Improve planning accuracy, schedule adherence and customer service levels.
  • Ensure production schedules are achievable and supported by material availability.
  • Lead site-level MRP and materials planning activities.
  • Maintain appropriate planning parameters, inventory policies and system data.
  • Ensure raw materials are available to support production requirements.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, excess inventory and supply risks.
  • Partner with Procurement to improve supplier performance and material availability.
  • Own inventory performance across raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
  • Improve inventory accuracy and optimize working capital.
  • Reduce excess, obsolete and expired inventory.
  • Develop inventory strategies that balance service, availability and cost.
  • Establish reporting and KPIs to identify inventory trends and opportunities.
  • Provide leadership across site warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging and shipping.
  • Lead and develop Warehouse Management teams.
  • Improve warehouse efficiency, utilization, accuracy and operating costs.
  • Ensure warehouse processes effectively support production and customer fulfillment.
  • Maintain strong controls around inventory movements, storage and material handling.
  • Partner with Operations and Quality to maintain appropriate food manufacturing and storage standards.
  • Ensure supply chain activities support strong customer service and on-time shipment performance.
  • Monitor shortages, service failures and shipment performance.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Sales and Operations to resolve fulfillment issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels while controlling supply chain costs.
  • Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs across planning, inventory, warehouse and fulfillment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and cost performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Use data and performance trends to drive operational decision-making.
  • Develop standardized processes and ensure compliance with operating procedures.

Supply Chain Director, Food Manufacturing (Relocation to Georgia)

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead planning, materials, inventory and warehouse operations within a large-scale food manufacturing environment.

This is a highly operational, site-level leadership role, responsible for ensuring the effective flow of materials from demand planning through production and ultimately to customer fulfillment. The role will lead teams across Supply Planning, Materials, Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations, while partnering closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, Quality and Operations.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical supply chain expertise with hands‑on operational leadership, with particular strength across MRP, production scheduling, inventory management and warehouse operations.

Please note, this is an on‑site role, close to Atlanta. Candidates not already living close by will be offered a relocation assistance program to help with the relocation.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Production Scheduling
  • Translate demand and S&OP inputs into an executable site supply plan.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior supply chain professional with strong site-level manufacturing experience and a proven track record across planning, materials, inventory and warehouse operations.

Essential Experience
  • Significant experience within a manufacturing supply chain environment.

  • Experience managing significant inventory and working-capital initiatives.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and operational cost reduction.
