The Director leads a team of planning and purchasing professionals and serves as a key cross‑functional partner to Operations, Sourcing, Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Logistics. • Demand & Supply Planning: Lead demand planning and forecast management processes, incorporating historical trends, market intelligence, commercial input, and business strategy; oversee supply planning activities to align production, inventory, and supplier capabilities with customer demand; establish planning policies and governance to improve forecast accuracy, schedule attainment, and customer service performance; drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase planning effectiveness and operational responsiveness

  • Inventory Management: Develop and execute inventory strategies that balance customer service requirements with working capital objectives; establish inventory targets, stocking policies, safety stock methodologies, and replenishment parameters; monitor inventory health, including excess, obsolete, slow‑moving, and at‑risk inventory; partner with Finance and Operations to reduce inventory risk while supporting growth and customer commitments; drive actions to improve inventory turns, cash flow, and service‑level performance

  • Tactical Purchasing & Supplier Execution: Lead the tactical purchasing organization responsible for procurement execution and supplier order management; ensure timely placement and management of purchase orders to support production and customer requirements; monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, and material availability to minimize supply disruptions; partner closely with Strategic Sourcing to support sourcing initiatives, supplier transitions, and risk mitigation activities; develop processes that improve purchasing efficiency, supplier communication, and material planning discipline

  • Cross‑Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Product Management, Logistics, and Finance to ensure alignment across the end‑to‑end supply chain; support new product introductions, product lifecycle management, and demand transitions; lead efforts to identify and resolve supply chain constraints impacting customer service or operational performance; drive a customer‑focused and data‑driven culture that prioritizes enterprise results over functional optimization

  • Team Development: Recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing organization of planners, inventory managers, and buyers; establish clear performance expectations, development plans, and succession planning initiatives; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence; provide coaching and leadership to strengthen analytical and strategic planning capabilities across the team
