Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or operations leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing ERP systems and implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic oversight for global sourcing and procurement activities, including identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating agreements, and managing relationships with key vendors supporting materials such as steel and other raw metals.
• Direct and optimize supply chain operations, including warehouse management, distribution activities, transportation processes, and overall material flow to ensure timely and efficient movement of products and components.
• Establish supplier performance standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating metrics related to quality, delivery, cost, and supplier effectiveness.
• Develop and execute supply chain continuity plans to reduce risks, prevent disruptions, and strengthen supplier relationships through planning, inventory strategies, and risk management.

Job description

The Supply Chain Director will provide strategic direction and operational leadership across all areas of the supply chain organization, including global sourcing, procurement, supplier partnerships, inventory management, and logistics operations. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a highly efficient, dependable, and cost-conscious supply chain strategy that supports manufacturing operations, improves business performance, and aligns with long-term organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic oversight for global sourcing and procurement activities, including identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating agreements, and managing relationships with key vendors supporting materials such as steel and other raw metals.
• Direct and optimize supply chain operations, including warehouse management, distribution activities, transportation processes, and overall material flow to ensure timely and efficient movement of products and components.
• Establish supplier performance standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating critical metrics related to quality, delivery execution, cost management, and overall supplier effectiveness.
• Develop and execute supply chain continuity plans designed to reduce operational risks, prevent disruptions, and strengthen supplier relationships through proactive planning, inventory strategies, and risk management practices.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, quality, manufacturing, finance, and other internal teams to align supply chain activities with production requirements, material needs, product specifications, and company goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, enhance processes, and support overall operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or operations leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing ERP systems, supporting global supply chain activities, and implementing process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to negotiate effectively, develop supplier partnerships, lead teams, manage organizational change, and implement operational improvements.
