Responsabilités

• Performs manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
• Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
• Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items in system, processes freight bills, packing slips, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations
• Identifies material requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
• Coordinates and processes material movement and incoming and outgoing shipments between warehouse and production areas
• Stores finished goods received from factory, fills orders, ships, and delivers merchandise to sales warehouse, wholesale or retail outlets, and customers
• General supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments
• Contact with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization.
• Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation
• Receive material from suppliers, load/unload trucks and deliver to appropriate department/location
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks related to shipments and incoming materials (i.e., make copies, file records, label inventory)
• Assist in storage and organization of material
