Job Details

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing materials and supplies to designated areas. They maintain awareness of all equipment in use and available to best serve the needs of the patient and department.

Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:30 am - 4 pm)

* 1 weekend per month - required *

Essential Functions

  1. Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  2. Manage requisitions, shelves, and distribute medical and linen supplies to patient care areas from the general storeroom, linen room, and bulk room distribution areas. (30%)
  3. Utilize PeopleSoft Mobile Supply Chain for receiving, cycle counts, inventory control, par level, replenishment of stock inventory to various locations, and communicate with customers professionally and courteously. (30%)
  4. Ensure all supply/linen rooms, par level carts, orders, and exchange carts meet established quotas both qualitatively and quantitatively. Maintain and restock supply/linen areas, storeroom, and bulk room for cleanliness, and expiration dates using the established cleaning schedule and expired/damaged product inspection logs. (20%)
  5. Maintain files such as delivery documents, property tag log, and returned goods log. (15%)
  6. Demonstrate the ability to safeguard patient information and ensure privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations; communicate tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, and staff; and adapt to fluctuating situations professionally. (5%)
  7. Use material handling devices such as pallet jacks, furniture movers, etc., as needed.
  8. Respond promptly to phone calls, beepers, walk-ins, loading dock requests, and deliver supplies in a timely manner.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Experience:

Prior experience in inventory management is preferred but not required.
