Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Spring, TX - OnsitePay: $25.00-$30.00/hour, depending on experience

Duration: 3-Month Temporary Assignment

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours

Reports To: Director of Supply Chain

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator for a 3-month temporary assignment in Spring, TX. This is a hands-on, execution-focused position responsible for supporting the daily flow of materials and products from suppliers through production and into inventory. The Supply Chain Coordinator will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouse personnel, Sales, and other internal departments to ensure purchasing, inventory, inbound shipments, and documentation remain accurate and on schedule. This position is ideal for someone who can quickly step into an established process, stay organized, communicate effectively, and keep day-to-day supply chain activities moving without interruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
• Maintain regular communication and strong working relationships with suppliers.
• Assist with purchasing and material sourcing activities.
• Monitor purchase orders and perform open-order reconciliation.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding order status, availability, and expected delivery dates.
• Identify and communicate order discrepancies or potential supply delays.
• Inventory & Recordkeeping
• Maintain and reconcile inventory records.
• Process daily production and inventory movements.
• Complete inventory adjustments and assist with monthly inventory reconciliation.Maintain accurate product pricing records.
• Maintain product quality documentation and submit quality testing requests as needed.
• Ensure supply chain and inventory records remain accurate and current.
• Inbound & International Shipments
• Communicate regularly with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to track inbound shipments, including ocean freight.
• Monitor shipment status and confirm expected arrival and delivery dates.
• Review, organize, and maintain shipping and import documentation.
• Coordinate incoming shipments with the import team and warehouse.
• Identify and communicate shipment delays, documentation issues, or discrepancies to appropriate internal teams.
• Assist with customs and trade-related documentation requests as needed.
• Internal Coordination
• Serve as a point of contact for Sales and Sales Coordination regarding product availability and lead times.
• Review sales forecasts against current inventory and supply positions.
• Process production paperwork and related documentation.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure accurate and timely flow of supply chain information.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, materials coordination, inventory, or operations support.
• Experience communicating directly with suppliers, vendors, freight forwarders, or transportation providers.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using an ERP or inventory management system.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in documentation and recordkeeping.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
• Ability to quickly learn and follow established processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, materials, or inventory coordination.
• Experience with international shipping and/or ocean freight.
• Familiarity with shipping, import, and customs documentation.
• Experience working in chemical, industrial, manufacturing, or similar product-driven environments.
• Experience working with products where specifications, quality documentation, and inventory accuracy are critical.
