Job summary

Electric Machinery Company. a division of WEG Electric Corp. in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to support purchasing, inventory, and logistics for our engineer-to-order and made-to-order manufacturing.

The role emphasizes customer-driven operations, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement. You will monitor material flow, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and protect delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in Planning, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
• SAP Materials and Planning experience is a plus.
• Demonstrates Inventory Management skills for order quantity, safety stock, stocking decisions, and excess/obsolete inventories.
• Excellent communication, computer, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the flow of materials and information across purchasing, receiving, inventory, and transportation.
• Investigate discrepancies in receipts, invoices, inventory counts.
• Maintain accurate order, shipment, and inventory records.
• Follow up on deliveries and resolve invoicing issues.
• Daily Material Requirement Planning review and production material orders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and develop recovery plans for on-time delivery.
• Ensure procedures, documentation standards, and reporting requirements are met.
• Maintain data and prepare reports using SAP and Microsoft Office.

Position: Supply Chain Coordinator

Department: Purchasing

Primary Objective of Position:

Responsible to support purchasing, inventory, and logistics in our dynamic engineer to order and made to order manufacturing facility with a Customer Driven focus that provides On Time Predictability thru Continuous Improvement.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Supports the flow of materials and information across purchasing, receiving, inventory, and transportation
• Investigates discrepancies in receipts, invoices, inventory counts,
• Maintain accurate order, shipment, and inventory records within internal systems
• Follows up on deliveries, obtains proof of delivery if required and resolves invoicing related issues.
• Daily Material Requirement Planning review with executing orders for production materials, MRO items and services
• Works collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and develop recovery plans for to support on time delivery to customer.
• Help ensure operational procedures, documentation standards, and reporting requirements are met
• Maintains data and prepares reports using SAP and Microsoft office software.
• Completes other tasks and projects as assigned by the Purchasing Manager

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum 2+ years Planning, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, or Engineering experience. Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field a plus.
• SAP Materials and Planning experience a plus.
• Demonstrates Inventory Management Skills for order quantity, safety stock quality, stocking determination, identifying excess and obsolete inventories.
• Excellent communication, computer, and analytical skills required.
• Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to respond to changing priorities required.
• Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and strong professional standards
• Demonstrates excellent inter-personal, group participation, and group management skills.
• Must be a flexible, high-energy individual, able to handle multiple tasks and frequently changing priorities.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite products with a focus on Excel preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Approximately 80% sitting, 20% walking. Must be able to carry 20 pounds unassisted of production order packages around a manufacturing facility.
• Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities. This requires climbing stairs and moving over, around, and about shop machinery.

Salary:

$60k to $65k

Will compensate with experience. Position is full-time.
