Supply Chain Consultant - TMS (MercuryGate)

Remote role, anywhere in the US.

This role will begin as a 1099 contractor position and may or may not transition to full-time employment.

Open Sky Group is a dynamic and innovative global supply chain solution and consulting firm, strategically located near Raleigh, North Carolina. Our team of supply chain experts has an average of over 20 years of industry experience, delivering expertise across various software platforms including WMS, TMS, and LMS.

Role Overview

The TMS Consultant is responsible for implementing the MercuryGate (Infios) TMS application for clients. This role involves combining transportation standards and best practices with platform expertise to develop tailored solutions. Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing comprehensive implementation and improvement plans
2. Enhancing supply chain and logistics network performance through strategic planning
3. Process re-engineering and to-be process mapping

Requirements

• Understanding of transportation concepts, freight rates, and logistics processes
• 4+ years experience with MercuryGate TMS
• Experience configuring multiple carrier modes (Parcel, LTL, TL, Ocean, etc.)
• Knowledge of functional and technical system components, including APIs, ERP systems, and interfacing methods

• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Organized, analytical, and able to meet project deadlines

Work Location & Travel

• Authorized to work in the US; remote location acceptable
• Ability to travel up to 35% with overnight stays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds

Compensation

Hourly rate: $50-70/hr, based on experience and location.
