Job description

Riega Foods, LLC, is a family owned and operated organic herb, spice, and spice blend manufacturer in Kansas City, MO. We are a fast-growing company looking for a Supply Chain Business Analyst to join our team. This position is in-person at Riega’s plant in Kansas City, Missouri. Successful candidates will be able to work 40 hours per week, with actual working hours flexible between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The Supply Chain Business Analyst (SCBA) performs a crucial role in optimizing supply chain operations through advanced demand planning and data analysis. The SCBA will manage demand and supply forecast models, analyze variances, and drive improvements in the forecasting process with internal and external stakeholders. The SCBA also maintains real-time data to support industrial sales order confirmations and order allocations.

Additionally, the SCBA coordinates financial reports for executive-level Supply Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings, and assists in setting standard costs. The SCBA develops and analyzes scorecards for customers, suppliers, and operations, providing insights into production data for operational enhancements.

The SCBA is a power user of various systems and software, including Cin7, QuickBooks, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and Redzone, leveraging these tools to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Industrial Demand Planning: Lead weekly/monthly reviews and collaborate with industrial customers and sales team to create an accurate 24-month demand forecast.
  2. Retail Demand Planning: Facilitate retail demand planning meetings. Assist in creating 24-month retail demand forecast by analyzing internal sales data and third-party sales data.
  3. Forecast Management: Manage demand forecast models and reports. Review and report on forecast-to-sales order variances.
  4. Production Planning: Review inventory against demand and open orders to identify production needs. Manage production planning models, including RCCP, and analyze production data to support operational improvements.
  5. Buy Supply Plan: Reconcile demand forecasts, production plans, and raw materials procurement with budgets. Manage the buy supply plan model.
  6. SIOP Meetings: Lead monthly demand planning meetings. Maintain SIOP process decks and track major risks and events.
  7. Demand/Supply Reconciliation: Support resolution of imbalances, prepare summaries and financial reports for executive meetings.
  8. Order Allocation Support: Assist in day-to-day order allocation decisions using demand, supply, and financial data.
  9. Standard Cost: Set and maintain standard costs.
  10. Scorecard Development: Support the creation and analysis of customer, supplier, and operational scorecards.
  11. Financial Analysis: Support internal and external financial reporting and analysis.
  12. Additional Support: Assist with sales presentations and new product development analytics.
  13. System Proficiency: Be a power user of Cin7, QuickBooks, Excel, BI tools, and Redzone.
  14. Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
  15. Qualifications: APICS or similar supply chain training, experience in food or complex manufacturing preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, or business intelligence roles.
  • Experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply planning.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI software.

Desired:

  • APICS or other supply chain certifications.
  • Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or complex manufacturing.

Travel and On-Site Work Requirements:

Occasional travel may be required. Primarily on-site work during normal hours, with some remote work possible with approval. Availability outside normal hours for urgent needs is expected.
