Job summary

Duke Energy in Charlotte is offering a nine-month Supply Chain internship/co-op program with four rotations across Sourcing & Accounts Payable, Operations & Analytics, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability, and Compliance / Business Support Services.

You will participate in sourcing areas including Nuclear, Generation, Major Projects, T&D, and Enterprise, develop experience in negotiations, project management, and process improvement, and gain exposure to senior leaders and the corporate culture.

Qualifications

  • Duke Energy Intern/Co-op Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Willingness and ability to travel 5–15% of the time
  • Rotation assignments may require direct support in the required work environment
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree
  • Preferred: Change Management certification
  • Preferred: Project Management experience or certification
  • Preferred: Certified Production and Inventory Management
  • Preferred: Certified Purchasing Manager
  • Preferred: Lean or Six Sigma experience or certification

  • Gain familiarity with Duke Energy’s corporate culture and access to senior leaders
  • Deploy to an area of interest at program conclusion, subject to business need
