Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking a Supply Chain Associate for an onsite, 6‑month temporary assignment in Lenexa, KS. The role focuses on shipping hazardous goods and supporting receiving, warehousing, inventory, and material-handling tasks.

Weekend day shift (Fri-Sun) with standard start times is planned. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic English/math, and the ability to safely operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in products from vendors and other sources.
• Sort parcels and materials received or returned.

• Handle hazardous/dangerous goods safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Accurately count products and materials.
• Complete required forms with accurate information.
• Transfer released products from quarantine locations to designated shippable areas.
• Stock and organize products and materials in storage locations.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Perform inventory-related activities, including product identification and counting.
• Deliver received packages to the appropriate employees or departments.
• Report safety hazards and discrepancies.

Summary

The Supply Chain Associate / Handler/Certifier is responsible for shipping hazardous finished goods to customers while supporting receiving, shipping, warehousing, inventory, and material-handling activities. The role involves receiving and inspecting incoming materials, stocking and transferring products, maintaining accurate inventory records, operating material-handling equipment safely, and ensuring products are handled and stored appropriately. This position requires attention to detail, basic computer and math skills, safe handling practices, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in products from vendors and other sources in a timely manner.


• Sort parcels and materials received or returned and handle them appropriately to prevent damage.


• Inspect incoming parcels and materials for defects or damage and report discrepancies.


• Order raw materials for production using internet-based systems and Microsoft Access.


• Handle hazardous/dangerous goods safely and in accordance with applicable procedures.


• Accurately count products and materials.


• Complete required forms with accurate and legible information.


• Transfer released products from quarantine locations to designated shippable areas.


• Stock and organize products and materials in designated storage locations.


• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures.


• Perform inventory-related activities, including product identification, counting, and organization.


• Deliver received packages and materials to the appropriate employees or departments.


• Communicate discrepancies, safety concerns, and other issues verbally or in writing.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area free of excess packaging materials.


• Follow scheduled work hours and attendance expectations.


• Report actual or potential safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor or safety personnel.


• Complete required company training and obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.


• Work overtime as needed to support customer requirements.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of English and mathematics, with the ability to read and understand written instructions.


• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate standard computer programs.


• Basic inventory skills, including product identification and accurate counting.


• Valid driver's license.


• Ability to safely handle hazardous/dangerous goods as required.


• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products, inventory, and documentation.


• Ability to communicate discrepancies and safety concerns effectively.


• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and efficiently with minimal supervision.


• Willingness to complete required training and obtain PIT certification.


• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. from floor level to overhead, using a step ladder as needed.


• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 100 lbs. in receiving and raw-material areas.


• Ability to push/pull approximately 100 lbs. of force using a pallet jack, with repetition as needed.


• Ability to push carts requiring approximately 45 lbs. of force and pull carts requiring approximately 50 lbs. of force.


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 3 hours at a time and up to 10 hours per day.


• Ability to frequently squat, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and occasionally climb a step stool.


• Ability to reach and safely handle products stored at heights of up to approximately 105 inches.
