Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate for our Cranberry Township, PA branch. You will manage inventory and support procurement, sourcing, and quoting to meet customer needs while assisting accounts receivable and occasional deliveries.

The role offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals, with a focus on operations, customer service, and teamwork in a branch environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a current full valid driver's license with driving record requirements for a company vehicle, if needed.
• Pursuing or have a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing or Sales or related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

Responsibilities

• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing products.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.

OVERVIEW:
Embark on a dynamic journey as a Part-time Supply Chain Associate, where every day offers a new opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of supply chain excellence. In addition to managing inventory, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting business-to-business operations by administering procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions that seamlessly meet the needs of our customers and drive the success of their business. This position is for our branch located at 20804 Rte 19, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

• Managing branch inventory levels

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field of study OR have customer service or industry related work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
