Fastenal Co. in Greencastle, IN is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate to join our branch team. You will help manage inventory, support procurement, supplier sourcing, and quoting to meet customer needs while supporting day-to-day operations.

This role offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and training, with potential additional responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to a growing, customer-focused supply chain operation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license and meet driving record requirements.
• Pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field, or have relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.

OVERVIEW

Embark on a dynamic journey as a Part-time Supply Chain Associate, where every day offers a new opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of supply chain excellence. In addition to managing inventory, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting business-to-business operations by administering procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions that seamlessly meet the needs of our customers and drive the success of their business. This position is for our branch located at 1701 Indianapolis Rd, Greencastle, IN 46135. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field of study OR have customer service or industry related work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
