Job summary

The Watkins Company, a pioneer in natural flavoring products, is hiring a Supply Chain Assistant in Winona, MN. This full-time role supports forecasting, planning, purchasing, inventory control, and ERP data maintenance in a hybrid setup with three days in the office and two remote days.

Responsibilities include KPI reporting, supplier qualification documentation, and assisting the VP of Operations with presentations and analysis. Strong MS Office and ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or working toward a business degree preferred.
• Experience in transportation, expediting, purchasing, planning, forecasting or inventory control preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Netsuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support forecasting, planning and purchasing activities.
• Conduct inventory analysis and prepare KPI reports.
• Maintain ERP data, BOM updates, and spec changes.
• Keep BOM effectiveness dates and material reports up to date.
• Maintain SQF documentation for supplier qualifications.
• Manage supplier setup, pricing, lead times and master data.
• Handle freight claims and carrier communications through resolution.
• Assist VP of Operations with KPI reporting and PowerPoint presentations.

Today, we are seeking a new member to join the fastest growing flavoring company in North America.The Watkins Company is excited to announce the opening for a full time, Supply Chain Assistant located in Winona, MN. The duties and responsibilities of the Supply Chain Assistant include, but are not limited to the following:1. Provides support to the forecasting, planning, and purchasing department.2. Conducts inventory analysis. Assembles and analyzes weekly and month end department reports including KPI’s, safety stock, excess and obsoletes and quarterly reports for supplier evaluations.3. Provides inventory control that counts on centralized purchased items to the purchasing team.4. Maintains and corrects the ERP system, including but not limited to spec updates and bill of material changes.5. Maintains the bill of material effectivity dates and material management reports in accordance with plannings provided information.6. Maintains SQF Documentation for Supplier Qualifications7. Maintain supplier contracts, certificates, specifications, insurance records, and audit documentation.8. Support supplier setup and maintain supplier, item, pricing, lead-time, and purchasing master data.9. Manage freight claims from documentation and carrier communication through resolution.10.
