Job summary

The Clark Agency Recruiters is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator for a Dearborn automotive supplier. The role owns coil track-and-trace through outside processing and works with the Purchasing Manager and Coordinator to move metal materials accurately and on time.

Responsibilities include tracking coils, coordinating with processors, and maintaining precise ERP/Excel records. Strong attention to detail and experience with Ford program material flow are required. On-site in Dearborn.

Qualifications

• Metal coil experience in service centers, processors, or stamping.
• Ford program material knowledge and flow experience.
• On-site in Dearborn, 8-4 or 7-4 / 8-5 schedule.
• Data cleanliness and accurate documentation handling.

• Confirm arrivals, departures, and timing; chase late or missing moves.
• Pull mill certs / MTRs and match documents to the correct coil.
• Enter and clean up transactions in ERP and Excel trackers - data must match one-for-one.
• Email processors with clear special instructions and follow-up.
• Support Ford program material flow as volume grows.
• Flag mismatches early (heat/lot, weight, coil ID, cert vs. tag).
• Assist across purchasing when items are short, late, or needed in system.

Our firm is hiring this role for a long-standing manufacturing client in Dearborn. They run automotive laser blanking (steel and aluminum) and need a coordinator to own coil track-and-trace through outside processing. This is not a buying or commodity-sourcing role. This role would work alongside the Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Coordinator, owning the metal materials once they are in motion: accurate data, mill certs, processor instructions, and on-time movement to the next step.

What you will do

• Track coils from receipt through outside processors and on to the next operation
• Confirm arrivals, departures, and timing; chase late or missing moves
• Pull mill certs / MTRs and match documents to the correct coil
• Enter and clean up transactions in their ERP and Excel trackers - data must match one-for-one
• Email processors with clear special instructions and professional follow-up
• Support Ford program material flow (accounts will be split as volume grows)
• Flag mismatches early (heat/lot, weight, coil ID, cert vs. tag)
• Jump in across purchasing when something is short, late, or needed out of the system

What you need

• Metal coil experience (steel and/or aluminum): service center, processor, blanking, stamping, or similar
• Ford customer or Ford-program material experience (releases, part flow, stamper/processor handoffs)
• Daily Excel (lookups, connecting files, catching a one-digit error)
• ERP receiving / inventory transactions (DELMIA a plus; other ERPs fine)
• Clean written communication with vendors and processors
• On-site Dearborn (approx. 8-4 or 7-4 / 8-5)
• Detail-first: a wrong coil ID is a real problem, not a rounding error
