Job summary

Kerry is seeking an experienced Operations Leader focused on warehousing and logistics to strategically plan, digitalize, and improve processes across warehousing, transportation and customer experience in North America.

You will drive governance, partner with Sales, Customer Care, Plants, Finance, ICT, Supply Planning, Transportation and 3PLs, and lead a team to meet safety, quality and cost objectives while delivering service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in warehousing, logistics and supply chain with increasing responsibility in manufacturing (food, beverage, consumer goods, pharma) in North America.
• 5+ years in transportation or warehouse operations positions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Operations/Industrial Management, Engineering or Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

About the role

This role will execute the following: Operations Oversite - Strategically plan, digitalize, and improve processes and systems to manage warehousing, transportation, operations, communication and customer experience.

Drive partnership and establish governance, reporting, & regular cadence of communication with key stakeholders including Sales, Customer Care, Plants, Finance, ICT, Supply Planning, Transportation, Inventory teams and 3PLs to cultivate a culture of customer service excellence.

Key responsibilities

Manage warehouse space utilization, work schedules, cycle counts, inbound, outbound practices, resourcing and communication to drive efficient operations.

Implement Lean Principles at every possible opportunity.

Deliver KPIs related to Customer Service, 3PL performance, Transportation performance, Claims, Inventory Accuracy, Stock-at-risk and Cost targets.

Ensure that Health and Safety policies and procedures are in place and adhered to at all times.

Ensure compliance with all necessary legislative practices, procedures and industry codes.

Project Management

Lead the execution of network strategy initiatives, new warehouse introduction, systems implementations and business process improvements.

Accountable to lead project integration ensuring all Safety, Quality, Service and Cost objectives are met.

Monitor progress of project milestones with all team members and provide status reports.

Manage project changes and ensure they are captured, documented and assessed.

Qualifications and skills

What you'll need to be successful:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing, logistics and supply chain with increasing levels of responsibility in a manufacturing environment appropriate to food, beverage, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals or a closely aligned sector in North America.

5+ years in transportation or warehouse operations position.

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience, preferably in Operations/Industrial Management, Engineering or Supply Chain

The pay range for this position is $36 - $48 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
