Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Stock Warehouse Assistant in the kitting department. You will process supply totes, stock the kitting area, and support daily operations to ensure consistent availability of blood collection totes.

You will work with warehouse staff and volunteers, ensuring accurate handling and documentation. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent required.
• Basic reading, writing, communications, and math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and shipment of totes to sites supported.
• Assist warehouse staff and cross-train to ensure department coverage.
• Coordinate with volunteer partners assisting in the kitting operation.
• Inspect, verify, and report discrepancies/damaged materials; store to prescribed methods.
• Fulfill daily customer orders and prepare transportation documents.

What You Need to Know:

As a Stock Warehouse Assistant in the kitting department, you will process supply totes that are used in the collection of blood products, and stock the kitting area with supplies from the warehouse, daily, to ensure consistent availability of blood collection totes

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistwith the receiving and shipment of totes to the sites we support
• Assistand work with warehouse staff.Cross-trainstaff where possible to ensure department coverage
• Work with and help coordinate with our volunteer partners whoassistin the kitting operation.
• Inspect,verifyand report discrepancies/damaged ofmaterials and supplies against receiving documents. Store and stack materialstoprescribed methods.
• Fulfill daily customer orders, prepare transportation documents, deliver materials and supplies to end user and/or departments
• Operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as electric pallet jacks and various forklift equipment.
• Mayassistwith systemwide electronic computer inventory management system data entry, reporting functions, and with electronic inventory reconciliation process.

Standard Schedule:Monday -Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay Information: $16.00 per hour

WhatYou Need to Succeed:

• Education: High School or equivalent required.
• Basic reading, writing, communications, and math skillsrequired. Knowledge of general office procedures and practices is preferred.
• Maybe requiredto be certified in forklift operation.
• Validdriver's license andcleanDMV record may berequired.
• Ability to work on a team.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel,reach withhands andarmsand talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbsfrequently; lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs. withassistanceor the use of a powered industrial truck. Frequently required to push carts weighing up to 250 pounds on flat flooring or ramps. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and climb ladders or balance. Specific vision abilitiesrequiredfor this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand ability to adjust and focus.
