Job summary

Blue Chip Talent in Normal, Illinois is seeking an experienced Supplier Warranty Engineer to support automotive warranty and supplier quality programs. You will turn warranty data into actionable quality improvements and partner with suppliers to reduce cost and improve performance.

The role requires 4+ years in automotive warranty data and statistical analysis, knowledge of AIAG, VDA and APQP, and strong cross-functional communication with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of automotive warranty data and statistical analysis experience.
• Working knowledge of AIAG, VDA and APQP.
• Experience with supplier quality, warranty analysis and corrective actions.
• Ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities within large warranty datasets.
• Experience developing, monitoring and communicating warranty KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze automotive warranty and field data to identify supplier-related trends and emerging technical concerns.
• Partner with Supplier Quality teams to investigate issues and drive corrective actions.
• Support supplier warranty recovery and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead technical activities associated with WARSCAR.
• Establish and track Supplier Warranty KPIs across vehicle programs.
• Conduct statistical analysis and deep dives into vehicle technical issues and service-related concerns.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve product quality and reduce warranty costs.
• Communicate directly with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, obtain technical information and support corrective actions.
• Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports using tools such as Hex, Databricks and data visualization platforms.

Blue Chip Talent id seeking an experienced Supplier Warranty Engineer to support an automotive warranty and supplier quality program in Normal, Illinois.

This position is ideal for an engineer who understands how to turn supplier warranty and field data into actionable quality improvements. You will analyze warranty trends, investigate technical concerns, work with Supplier Quality and engineering teams, and partner directly with suppliers to improve performance and reduce warranty-related issues and costs.

• Conduct statistical analysis and deep dives into vehicle technical issues and service-related concerns
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve product quality and reduce warranty costs
• Work with data teams to establish requirements for warranty reporting and analysis
• Maintain accurate supplier warranty claims, supporting evidence and performance information
• Communicate directly with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, obtain technical information and support corrective actions
• Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports using tools such as Hex, Databricks and data visualization/statistical platforms
• Manage multiple quality initiatives while collaborating across geographically dispersed teams
