Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks an Automotive Warranty Parts Quality Engineer for a 6-month onsite contract in Normal, IL. You will lead technical aspects of the Warranty Partnership Program, coordinating with supplier quality, data teams, and cross-functional groups to reduce warranty costs and improve product reliability.

Responsibilities include data-driven analysis, KPI development, and effective communication with suppliers to address issues and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering or similar discipline (Master's preferred).
• 4+ years of experience with automotive supplier warranty data and statistical analysis.
• Strong statistical and problem-solving capability.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Hex and exposure to software/tools including JIRA and Databricks.
• Knowledge of AIAG, VDA, APQP and related tools.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving quality improvements in vehicle attributes.

Responsibilities

• Support all technical aspects of the Supplier Warranty Partnership Program.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality to use field data to improve products and reduce warranty costs.
• Drive continuous improvement through WARSCAR process.
• Establish data requirements with data teams to address warranty concerns quickly.
• Help establish Supplier Warranty KPIs across products and drive visibility.
