Job summary

Perrigo is seeking a Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) to lead procurement activities ensuring smooth material flow and optimal inventory levels. You will manage POs, monitor shortages, and improve supplier performance.

The role requires SAP/ERP experience, CPIM/CPM/APICS certification, and 3–5 years in purchasing, with strong MS Office skills and lean Six Sigma knowledge. On-site in Michigan, competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• CPIM/CPM/APICS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place and enter purchase orders in accordance with MRP.
• Monitor and resolve potential material shortages; expedite critical orders.
• Maintain purchasing databases (lead times, MOQ, safety stock).
• Manage inventory levels to balance availability and days on hand.
• Analyze supplier performance KPIs and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new item launches and changes.
• Serve as liaison between Perrigo and suppliers for projects, inventory, and quality concerns.
• Address rejects/claims from PO changes or terminations.
• Support GMP implementation and assess impact on materials.

Description Overview

The Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) is responsible for procurement-related activities that ensure a continuous flow of materials in the optimum quantity and time frame required. Utilizes approved suppliers based on quality, reliability, and urgency of need.

Scope of the Role

• Place and enter purchase orders in accordance with MRP
• Monitor and resolve potential material shortages; track, expedite, and manage critical orders
• Maintain purchasing databases (lead times, MOQ, safety stock)
• Manage inventory levels for assigned commodities to balance availability while optimizing days on hand
• Support Oral Care goals and continuous improvement
• Use purchasing tools to analyze and evaluate supplier performance KPIs; work with suppliers on improvements
• Support cross-functional collaboration for new item launches, conversions, and R&D activities
• Serve as primary liaison between Perrigo and suppliers for projects, inventory, and quality concerns
• Work with suppliers on rejected materials and claims from PO changes or termination
• Support GMP implementation and understand impacts to materials and processes

Experience Required / Qualifications

• 3–5 years in purchasing/procurement/material planning (or equivalent)
• CPIM/CPM/APICS certification
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge
• SAP/ERP system experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
• Ability to work independently; strong time management, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
