Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a supplier quality technician to ensure purchased parts meet drawings and specs, drive rapid supplier issue resolution, and support the plant QA team. The role involves data analysis, MRB participation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve quality and processes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in supplier quality or related fields, strong reading of drawings, and experience with core quality tools.

Qualifications

2–3 years in supplier quality technician or related field.
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, prints, dimensions, and tolerances.
Background in manufacturing processes.
Experience with quality tools: 8-D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, PPAP, SCAR.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SQE and plant Quality Manager to ensure quality of received parts.
Assist in identifying and resolving issues with purchased parts and support SCARs.
Participate in MRB for disposition of rejects from RI or production.
Communicate with suppliers regarding defects, RMA, deviations, and discrepant materials.
Perform basic analysis for problem solving and escalate supplier response speed as needed.
Support development of basic product and process procedures.
