Job summary

Heliene USA is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to ensure a robust quality system across raw materials and finished products sourced from suppliers. You will develop and monitor KPIs, audit suppliers, and lead corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering or quality with five years in supplier quality, strong APQP/PPAP and ISO 9001 knowledge, and travel up to 35%. Growth potential in a fast-paced solar manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or quality with five years in supplier quality in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with APQP, PPAP and ISO 9001 or automotive certification.
• Understanding of GD&T, drawing and design/process controls.
• Must understand and be able to develop inspection and test methods.
• Project management skills.
• Data collection and analysis – must develop KPIs.
• Supplier evaluations and audits including traceability.
• Strong root cause analysis and 8D/5 Why knowledge.
• Lean and Six Sigma tools – DMAIC problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Participate in supplier qualification and selection activities, including leading supplier quality assessments.
• Develop, analyze and report qualitative and quantitative data to present Quality Performance Metrics (Defect ppm) of supplier performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish direct working relationships with key suppliers to foster continuous improvement programs and lead implementation of projects to improve quality/capability/productivity and reduce variability.
• Conduct supplier design and process FMEAs, PPAP activities, and Control Plan development.
• Assist in initial and sustaining part qualification including PPAP as required by criticality.
• Collaborate with internal partners to optimize total cost of ownership and price of non-conformance.
• Provide technical support to receiving inspection when appropriate.
• Define data requirements for supplier shipments and assist quality team with noncompliance reports.
• Develop Incoming Quality Inspection Criteria and Work Instructions for Heliene staff.
• Lead training on quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, Process Auditing) for suppliers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
