Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach seeks a Supply Chain Engineer to drive supplier quality, ensure component excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will manage non-conformances, qualify parts, and optimize supplier relationships throughout the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes problem solving, data-driven improvements, and close work with Engineering, Procurement, and Production to deliver high-quality parts. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2+ years in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, or quality.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Manage the issue ticket landscape related to vendor performance and prescribe actions to improve quality and mitigate risks.
• Qualify parts and oversee the manufacturing process with vendors.
• Own and manage non-conformances identified at vendors and during production; implement corrective actions with vendors.
• Drive improvements in existing quality management processes with suppliers.
• Manage containment and non-conformances; develop resolutions to reduce issues.
• Provide technical support onsite at suppliers to ensure part reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Production to ensure high-quality parts meet requirements.
• Execute non-conformance processes (SDR, MRB, CAPA, RTV, etc.) and review action tickets.
• Support containment actions and perform root-cause analysis.
