This position is for a Supplier Quality Field Representative (SQFR) in the Los Angeles, CA area. The position requires Resident Source Inspection support at a supplier facility located in El Monte, CA and may require travel to other supplier facilities on an as-needed basis. Primary duties will include the inspection of electrical and mechanical piece part procurements for components utilized on a variety of satellite, missile, and manned space programs.
SQFR collaborates with internal quality, engineering and manufacturing functions and suppliers to ensure quality standards and product requirements are met. It ensures supplier contract requirements are implemented and verified. It monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities and maintains feedback loops. It performs surveillance ensuring supplier''s conformance to company and program requirements and drives supplier improvement activities. It performs source inspections (both in-process and final), first articles, manufacturing process validations, source surveillance and special process audits, as applicable. It provides internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions related to supplier discrepancies. It supports supplier failure investigations as required and ensures control of supplier nonconforming items, conducts analyses and monitors effectiveness of corrective actions at the supplier.

In-depth knowledge and experience in Quality processes and procedures, including AS9100 and ISO-9001 Quality Management Systems. Past or current certifications to J-STD-001 for soldered electronics, NASA 8739.1 Polymerics, NASA Cable and Wire Harness, and/or IPC-A-600. Strong understanding of engineering drawings requirements and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with performing First Article Inspections. Strong understanding of special processes and an overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers daily to support the Program. Experience with source inspection, purchase order reviews and surveillance activities at suppliers. Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions. Experience working with suppliers and dispositioning space flight hardware. A detailed working knowledge and understanding of requirements flow-down and supplier process oversight.

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Telework classification: Employee that will telework full-time
First shift. 9x80 every other Friday off. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
